IN 1912 OUR GREAT-GRANDFATHER, THOMAS WALTON BOSWELL, came to the rugged land that now produces exceptional barrels. It took T.W. Boswell's determination and a strong will to develop a working stave mill at the crossroads of white oak country. In those days, long forgotten drum saws at the mills were powered by steam engines and mills were portable, moving from forest to forest deep in the Ozark mountains. Using strong Missouri mules, they hauled logs from the forest to the mills.

Over 90 years later we’ve introduced a barrel to honor our great-grandfather’s pioneering spirit, using the same passion for quality that he established in 1912. Our generation has added its own traditions to this barrel. Some arise from craftsmanship. All are grounded in the passion for quality.

The T.W. Boswell Collection honors a proud heritage and heralds a promising future. But above all else, it celebrates the passion of the wine world. It is dedicated to the members of the wine industry who continue to build on a tradition of excellence.
